Merci Beaucoup

I would like to thank everyone for their kindness, compassion and support over the past few days.

At the risk of sounding dramatic (I'm willing to take that risk (as usual)), I'm going to proclaim 2007 as one of the strangest years in my life. The ups and downs, so far, have been so extreme that I'm not sure how I'm supposed to feel at any given moment.

With any luck things will settle down, problems will be resolved and I'll look back on the first half of '07 as the storm before the calm. In any case I will remember 5/19/07 for the rest of my life.

In an interesting (kind of) side note: Last night I could've sworn I heard Emma barking in the distance--like she was very far away, but wanted me to hear her. I almost jumped out of bed to let her in from the yard until I remembered that she was gone. I chalked it up to mind tricks or a dream, but if anyone could bark loud enough from the Other Side it would be my little girl.

And then about 10 minutes ago, Simon got under the desk and sat down on the wires and pulled out the plug to the computer (see my previous post) in an obvious tribute to his dearly departed canine pal. With the way the spirit world likes to tickle my fancy from time to time...I'm sure more strange occurrences are to come. Stay tuned.
