Things I Don't Understand

I'm hardly a genius, but I usually get a good handle on things. However there are some things that escape my comprehension. Such as:

10. KFC playing "Sweet Home Alabama" on their commercials for "Kentucky" Fried Chicken.

9. The 304 murders in Philadelphia as of 9/22. Today a rookie cop was shot in the face on a traffic stop. Unbelievable.

8.Grey's Anatomy. Just don't get what all the hoopla is about. Eric Dane is hot and I would watch him read the paper, but the show itself doesn't really keep my interest.

7.Oreo destroying a $25 pet bed which looked extremely comfortable, but loves to sit on the cardboard cupholder from Dunkin' Donuts.

6.Teenage girls who scream uncontrollably all the time. At least they can't sneak up on anyone.

5.Britney Spears.

4. The Philly news media who just can't seem to pronounce basic English words and often report incorrect information.

3.The president of Iran saying that they have no homosexuals in their country. Sure you don't.

2.How the Philly media suggested that the shootings of blacks at Delaware State University was racially motivated...until they caught the shooter who is black. Maybe he hates black people...that's kind of racist.

1.The Jena 6. I don't get it. The whites who congregate under a certain tree hung nooses in the branches as an insult/threat to the blacks who wanted that spot. The 6 attacked a white student who was not involved (allegedly)in the noose hanging. The attackers were arrested. The noose-hangers were not charged with anything. So what's the issue? Yes the whites who hung the nooses acted abhorrently. However, if you assault someone you get arrested. Doesn't matter what your motivation is. Doesn't matter if someone acts like an idiot. You don't have to take the low road. If I hang a noose in one of the branches of my tree, does that give a black person, or someone who is offended by that, the right to attack me without consequences? C'mon.

All good points...and LOL at the KFC one...perhaps they figure our knowledge of geography is so poor that, for many TV watchers, the South is just one big blur and all the states are the same? : )
